This print is beautiful. It's a commonly depicted subject, but it is very special. The composition, tonal quality, and movement are exceptional and evocative. The piece is true to it's title... breathtaking!

I have wanted this for my pro life bulletin board at my Catholic Church and I wasn’t disappointed. It is beautiful and it has so much meaning put in a picture. A picture speaks better then words and this picture says it all. Thanks

Located near Spean Bridge in the Highlands of Scotland this bronze sculpture is dedicated to the men of the original British Commando forces. It stands 17 feet high and overlooks the training areas of the Commando Training Depot established in 1942 at Achnacarry Castle.
About Derek Beattie
Derek is a photographer living in rural Southwest Scotland, an area abounding with natural beauty. There are many historic towns and villages in this part of Scotland and an abundance of Rivers, lochs and hills. He also has an ongoing love affair with the North of Scotland in particular Sutherland and Caithness where he tries to get to as often as possible to capture the majestic beauty the far north of Scotland has to offer.
